Metro is apparently now even publishing daily maps comparing 2020 ridership to 2019; the attached map is for Sunday (22nd), where rail ridership was down 88% overall.
Ridership on March 7/8, prior to #COVID19, was up 9% compared to 2019.

ICYMI: #wmata is planning to completely close 20 rail stations and close an entrance at 10 others beginning *tomorrow*. Know before you go, if you're making essential trips on the rail system.
Update: looks like the original #wmata plan to close stations on Wednesday has been delayed, but as Adam's video shows, they are coming. Unsure if it'll now be Thurs, Fri, or just beginning next week.
Braddock Rd saved from closing (compared to the list #wmata planned yesterday), 17 new rail stations will be closed on Thursday, joining Arlington Cemetery and Smithsonian. 19 of the agency's 91 stations will be closed to riders.

Expect real-time train data and published schedules to lag while #wmata staff play some catch-up and try to a) make these new schedules, and b) push them out to the feeds. I'm sure this is music to @dcmetrohero's ears.
