I teach a class that meets once a week.
March 2: Students were like "what's this virus thing? Is it going to be a big deal?"
March 9: We were like "wow, a lot has changed in a week, eh?"
March 16: [via Zoom] Student X was back home in Seattle and hadn't left the house for days.
March 23: We're on Spring Break.
March 30: Just take a second to imagine where we'll be.

On March 2 there had been 6 deaths in the US. As of today there are 553 and the entire West Coast is on some form of lockdown.
In 21 days most of my students went from some form of vague awareness that something was happening to having their entire lives upended for an as yet undetermined period of time. And things seem, at least in the short run, to only be accelerating.
[Insert hackneyed reference to that old curse "may you live in interesting times."]
