I believe the nation's roid rage Little League coaches refer to this as "taking one for the team." 
These are the same people who constantly rail against the dangers of leftist collectivism...but now they're like "you need to risk dying for the good of the economy." Tho obviously by "you" they don't mean "us," they mean everyone but the people we define as "us."
Let me rephrase that. If the entire staff of The Federalist agreed to attend one of these parties to voluntarily contract the disease, then I'd take this more seriously.
For real, what a great way to get a leg up on the competition. The entire staff of The Federalist can contract the disease, they can replace whoever dies from it, and then in a couple weeks can just get back to work at full capacity! I assume this is their business plan, yes?
