I have to say, Americans have a pretty warped view of what hardship really is.
Sitting in a nice, warm place with plenty of food watching Netflix would be a dream holiday lots of places.
I’m talking about the folks itching to break quarantine at others’ peril because the minor, short-term inconvenience is “too much”.
Jeez. Perspective.
Shanty towns in South Africa. Rural villages in Laos. Backwater places in India.
Poor people largely banding together to survive. Kindness amidst hardship.
For others though, man, talk about selfish, sheltered people who neither know how good they have it nor care that others have it worse. Blech.
