Gov. Phil Murphy is giving a banging press conference AGAIN. New Jersey now has the 2nd highest number of cases in the country. Murphy and Judy Persichilli, NJ Dept. of Health Commissioner are emphasizing that people under 50 are getting #COVID19.
Persichilli says: "SIMILAR TO WHAT IS BEING SEEN ACROSS THE US [my emphasis], we are seeing a significant number of cases in people under 65."
Persichilli says, "about 35% of our cases are between 30 and 49 and 24% of those cases have been hospitalized. Younger individuals are NOT IMMUNE to #COVID19."
Persichilli says there are cases in at least 19 of NJ's long-term nursing care/home facilities.
