Trump, asked why he chose Easter as the date to end the shutdown, says it's because it'd be beautiful to have packed churches all around the nation.
Trump: "And I say, wouldn't it be great to have all of the churches full? You know the churches aren't allowed essentially to have much of a congregation now... So I think Easter Sunday, and you'll have packed churches all over our country. I think it would be a beautiful time."
Trump: "So we're open for church service, and services generally, on Easter Sunday. That would be a beautiful thing."

Y'all. The President is talking about how Russia was our ally against Germany in WWII, and Germany is now ripping us off by not paying enough to NATO, so he can't understand why we're supposed to talk with Germany but not Russia.
Also we're doing really well on vaccines and will have one soon. (We will not.)
When asked about people praying for him, Trump immediately started bragging about how big a share of the evangelical vote he got in 2016.

At least online, Trump's base is really upset with him over his mishandling of the pandemic.

They think he's showing weakness by giving in to deep state scientists and agreeing to extend the social distancing measures. They don't understand why he won't stand up to them.

This piece of shit is claiming we have more cases than any other country because we do more testing than any other country. He's trying to Baghdad Bob his way through a pandemic.
There is literally no number of bodies that will stop Trump from doing this. If even the worst case scenarios were blown out of the water, and twenty million people died, he'd still be showing up in the Rose Garden to brag about how many lives he saved with hydroxychloroquine.
The President is now asking reporters to investigate whether someone is embezzling medical masks because "from a practical standpoint he doesn't see how that's possible" for New York's mask use to have increased so much in the past month. Because he has catfood for brains.

I just had an epiphany: #beautiful has become my new favorite word. That may seem strange given my circumstances. In June 2017 I was diagnosed with incurable stage IV #lungcancer.
I naively thought that maybe my lifetime of being a health and fitness junkie would insulate me from such a medical fate. Wrong. And So here I am, fifty-one years old and not sure how much time I have left on earth. I know I could, or maybe should, feel angry, cheated, jaded.
But I don't. I have this epiphany that my new favorite word is beautiful and I'm not sure why. There is nothing beautiful about what I've gone through since my diagnosis--lots of physical and emotional distress to be sure. But yet, I keep find
