(1,5) I met @JoeBiden in person in Mach 2018, just a month after my daughter Jaime was murdered. He had a room full of people waiting for him, and yet, he spent almost 45 minutes with me. No cameras, no staff. He spoke to me about grief and going forward. 
(2,5) After about 20 min, I reminded him about his room full of people, he said this was more important. He told me in honest ways what to expect and how unpredictable grief is. He spoke to me about my family. These photos were taken at the end of the first Dem Debate in Miami.
(3,5) At the end of the debate, @JoeBiden was on stage and saw me walking across the floor. He motioned for me to walk to the stage. Even though this was over a year later, he remembered me. He was again reaching out to me.
(4,5) He remembered everything he spoke with me about in our first meeting. He asked how my wife and son were doing. He referenced some of the advice that he gave me and asked if I was following it. A year later. This is who @JoeBiden is.
(5,5) Why am I so committed to @JoeBiden? Because in the deepest & most personal way possible, I can attest to his decency, his humanity, his civility & his commitment to gun safety. His leadership is exactly what we need. I look forward to electing him as our next President.
