Government schooling is necessary for an educated populace!!
Obviously only rich people should be able to choose their schools!
Zipcode should determine everyone's schools.

Same with grocery stores.

Same with restaurants.

Same with everything else.

It's so efficient!
Teachers unions are essential to maximizing student learning!

Everything they do is for the kids!
Funding should go directly to buildings, not families.

While we're at it we should force everyone to spend their food stamps at a residentially assigned government grocery store!😃

Car dealerships!

Government schools in Philadelphia are indoctrinating their students with propaganda against their competition.

This propaganda is coming directly from their Office of Curriculum:

• Racist Origins of Private Schools
• Private School Vouchers
• Public v. Charter
The first link goes to an article from Center for American Progress, a leftwing think tank.

No articles are provided showing the other side of the story - that many segregationists actually OPPOSED private school vouchers in the 1950s.

The 2nd link goes to another anti-voucher opinion piece written by someone at the Center for American Progress (a leftwing think tank)

The pro-voucher side of the story is left out again

These schools are using their curriculum to protect their monopoly.

A government school just used a slide comparing Trump to Hitler in class.

I'm not a Republican
And I didn't vote for Trump

But this is political indoctrination.

We need school choice now.
This slide was in a history class at Loch Raven High School in Baltimore Maryland.
I understand the slide was trying to make a point about immigration policy

I actually believe we should have less restrictions on immigration

But this crossed a line that shouldn't be crossed in compulsory government schools.

We need choice to fix this problem.

1/ Bernie's base may be naive re: how change happens & what he can accomplish. But between naivete & cynicism (i.e., we can't provide universal health care 'bc rich people') I'm inclined to choose naivete & then fight. Trump is King of Cynicism. No cynic can beat him at that game
2/ I say this as someone who has MAJOR disagreements with Bernie on some key things (mostly strategic and analytical) and finds some of his base execrable. But again, between that and the cynicism of other Dems who are near the top against him, the choice is clear...
3/ And if there's 1 thing more aggravating than Bernie's base threatening to not vote for any1 else, it's those who ALWAYS lecture the left to suck it up & vote lesser of two evils acting like that shit doesn't apply to them. Practice what you preach...you don't have to like it..

BLACK PEOPLE: Send your kids (and federal student loan $) to HBCUs. Then HBCUs would have better resources. Black kids busting their asses to get into these PWIs on merit, because getting degrees from them are supposed to validate us. But it’s not even real validation. 1/20
If rich people are buying admissions (like they always have), they are getting access to the same validation you busted your ass for, and aren’t half as smart/creative/driven/willing to work as you. But the name of the school on their resume gives them unearned validation. 2/20
Now think about how many dumb yet monied white people you know in charge of stuff. Where did they “graduate” from? Likely an Ivy League School. (PS-If any person on God’s green earth thinks George W. Bush got into Yale on his own merit, they’re a moron.) 3/ 20
