1/ I see a huge need in the fairly near future for individuals around the world to be able to attest to the fact that they have tested antibody-positive (they were infected) AND antigen-negative (they are no longer infectious) BUT without compromising privacy.
2/ For example, my son is a First Responder and is currently recovering after testing positive for Covid-19 - thankfully he will be fine but it would be great to be able to demonstrate and be able to prove that he is "safe" once he has recovered.
3/ China is doing this with invasive apps that can misuse the information (see tiny.cc/6u1bmz ) but we only need an app to be able to attest to your "safe" status.
Think of certification.iota.org for storing a certified copy of your test results rather than a degree.

4/ The final piece of the puzzle requires a phone app that uses a biometric plus a piece of ID to link you to the certificate but without any store of your personal info in a corporate or government database.
5/ Clearly, having #IOTA's Decentralized Digital Identity would be helpful but even in the absence of that facility today we could devise a mechanism to attest that an individual could move about clearly without compromising the health of others in the community.
6/ We will shortly have large numbers of people who have survived Covid and who can safely return to work, who can assist in the health system, do grocery shopping and delivery for the elderly, etc. while others will remain at risk and isolated until a vaccine is available.
7/ This could be a valuable way to demonstrate a global use-case for #IOTA in a world in which trust is rapidly becoming a scarcer commodity than it was already.

The Eclipse Foundation and OMG could even define the standards for storing this information in a way that it could be used across borders as we eventually get to the point that travel restrictions begin to lift and the world starts to slowly return to normal.
Sadly, I think we'll be in a transition phase for at least the next 6 - 18 months in which your Covid-Status will be increasingly critical on a wide variety of fronts. As we learned from the Patriot Act, once we give up privacy, it's tough to get it back again.
