Why the fuck is Victorian ghost child/Daddy bought his way into Harvard addressing the country about this?
Oh good, now the military guy is saying that if hospitals don't have enough supplies it's not the federal government's fault.
Meanwhile the Navy just fired the captain who tried to save his crew from COVID. These people are the absolute worst dumbest people who ever lived.
So all these methods that they're now using to speed up the supply chain could have been activated TWO MONTHS AGO
So all this stuff they're loading onto the planes is just going to the private system, where states still have to bid on it, leading to a bidding war.

WHAT THE FUCK
"Oh good, it's Peter Navarro" --said no one ever.
This guy has no expertise in any of this and has just been put in charge of the most important logistical decisions since WWII
Peter Navarro has "issued a Ford vs Ferrari challenge" to car companies to make ventilators we are so fucked
CPB and mailing companies are going to do what now?

CPB is decidedly not built for that job.
Navarro is so up Trump's ass it's amazing.
Trump saying a cash payment is better than health insurance which, no
Trump now blaming the states for not stocking up before the virus hit.
Reporters really need to stop asking him very open-ended questiosn
Trump promised a cash payment instead of reopening Obamacare enrollment.

How? To Whom? Is that the check that's already. coming?
Those questions were kinda put to Trump, who kicks to Pence, who says that we're going to use "some of the 100 billion to compensate hospitals for Coronavirus treatments"

so paying hospitals to absorb the costs to uninsured Americans

which...good? If it happens.
"In many cases the scarf is better. It's thicker"
It's not just the number of scarves that Dr. Birx has that's so transfixing. It's all the different knots and drapes she deploys.
Victorian ghost child is back on the grift
Jared is saying that governors should hunt and peck and beg and bribe within their own state rather than the Trump administration doing their damn job
Q: Jared are you running a shadow task force

Jared: sister/mother/mother/sister
Jared: now saying the governors who are "better managers" have enough supplies.

No governor in a hot spot has nearly enough supplies.
Birx is saying essentially: States that didn't follow the presidential guidelines—which are mostly GOP led—are the ones that are the most fucked. Maybe even more than those that got hit hardest, first.
Essentially: had the federal government issued a blanket rule, faster, we'd all be a lot better off.
This entire presser's attempted spin is: We told you governors to act early on (false). Why didn't you act?
Trump back on the deductibility issue for restaurants. For the record, this was a huge source of graft and waste
"We've learned a lot. We've learned about borders. We've learned about reliance of other countries."

Doubling down on the nativism.
That might have been the most depressing presser yet. I mean, finally they're doing some of the stuff they should have done months ago. But the denial and blame-shifting is in full gear. And they may really believe supply chain problems are overstated, still.
