So, here's a "What to do in quarantine tip." Kind of an obvious one, but I reckon some of you, like me, have let the housework lapse, especially if you live alone. It's tempting: Who's coming over, after all? But trust me:
DO THE HOUSEWORK. I just did. Took me four hours. (I woke up and couldn't sleep.) I assumed I'd feel 26 percent better for having done it, but in fact I feel 83 percent better. That's a *significant* improvement in well-being.
I know it wasn't a double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled trial--I can't recommend that everyone do it on the basis of this anecdote--and there are known side effects: You don't want to be throwing your back out at a time like this; you won't be a welcome sight at the ER.
But those reservations aside, I can report that it was a better-spent morning than I expected it to be. YMMV.
