Can’t get any more surreal than this: After 60 days of straight 24X7 curfew, they allowed 65 yr olds 2 go out 4 a few blocks, only for 1 day, and only for 4 hrs. The reaction: We’re so grateful to be given this permission cmhr.yt/hsjV #Cumhuriyet #cumhuriyetgzt
Aaaah, how fast we can get conditioned. How quickly we can get programmed and reprogrammed. Only 2 months, and the result: Being immensely grateful to have 1 designated day, 4 designated blocks and 4 hrs to see the sun, and be out on the street. Simply amazing.
I have to admit though: I may be crying with joy when I down that 1st Margarita in a few days in US; my daughter may shed tears of joy when she first goes with me to grocery store; my husband may be chocking w/emotions when he gets behind the wheel after 60+ days being forbidden
He was fined (our number 2 fine) for 750TL for being inside his private car, all by himself. Ooooh, we the rebel family!!! How dare we?!
