We were told in mid-March that if we locked down—really locked down—for 2-3 months, then we could start opening things up safely by July-ish, and maybe we'd have school this fall if we'd really beaten the virus. It was called quarantine. We could've lived with that bargain. (2/7)
Instead, in some states, thanks to, yes, #Trump and some stupid, Trump-loving propagandists (I mean #Republicans) running the show, they opened up in early May because they wanted to own the libs. And they shunned masks and hit #Fauci because they wanted to own the libs. (3/7)
Opening sports when the virus was under control could've worked. Opening it when we are at new peaks of cases nationwide (and hospitalizations, deaths, etc.) was madness. I'm sorry to say this, but we #Democrats told you so, not just on the virus but on this presidency. (4/7)

The Republican Party is morally bankrupt and must be completely reformed, hollowed out, or replaced by people who never pledged loyalty to Trump over truth and science. Anyone who did cannot be trusted with power again. (6/7)
Only a party that is so bankrupt to the core could have chosen him, stayed unified behind him in 2016, and largely followed him off the cliff on the virus. This isn't about baseball obviously, and this has been building for a while. I am shaking with rage right now. (7/7)
