#Dearfarmers So lets talk about careless mistakes people make in farming.
A simple Thread worth your time.

- Lack of proper fencing.
We invest thousands or millions into farming but fail to impose proper security measures around the farm.
#WednesdayWisdom
#BBIReport #farming
Frequent theft and farm invading by livestock or wild animals results from simple ignorance or failure to protect your office. (farm)
Fencing is therefore a very important aspect that you should consider before venturing into farming
Lack of financial knowledge and risk management.

Farmers ought to know the estimated profit margin before investment. Don't be so much aggressive on decision making at the start and have less equity left out. Invest only whatever you are capable of.
-Plant what people need.

Plant only what you are capable of selling.
We advise farmers to plant people's basic needs which will make it easier for you to sell.
Do not plant what is not needed in the market.
_Management aspect.

Well, this is where telephone farmers come in. How do you manage your farm? Have you employed a qualified personnel or you went for cheap, unskilled labour in the name of shamba boy to take care of a project valued at millions of money?
- Market research and analysis.

This is a very tricky aspect that you have to be very keen with in order for you to be called a successful farmer.
Many people fail at management and marketing levels.
Do your market research and establish good relationships with possible clients

Grapes are much easier to manage and looking at how they grow and the space they occupy then clearly, you can actually intercrop them with seasonal legumes like beans...
You shouldn't intercrop them with crops that need alot of water.
Introduce intercropping between 1-2 years.

The history of kenya avocado is exciting. So is the avocado itself, a lovely fruit with fast rising global demand. This simple natural fruit is amazingly high in healthy fats with attractive benefits to the body.

commercial varieties are Keitt, Reed, Booth 8, Simmonds,
Pinkerton, Nabal, Puebla, Tonnage, Ettinger, Hayes, G6
