1. A global pandemic and economic shutdown couldn't stop the industry. Final numbers TBD but I bet on another year of EV #growth and #ICE decline. Will be watching @rhomotion

2/x The make-up of ownership in the #supplychain continues to change. In lithium, Pilbara/Altura and Tianqi/IGO foreshadow that there is potential for more deals across the full supply chain before prices rise. Will be watching @amiller_bmi for more

3/x Yes, the #battery #chemicals price spikes will happen - my personal prediction is within the next 18 months. See point #1 - another year of not-enough-investment-in-supply isnt going to make demand easier to meet. Will be watching @CDMRawles for more

4/x @benchmarkmin #Megafactories tracker charged to >3TWh capacity this year. Meanwhile #cathode and #upstream still lags behind. This growing divide only accelerated this year. After years of beating this drum, many of us sound like broken records 😅

5/x #America made long-needed moves on #battery supply chain. #Policy, #legislation, and #funding all happened within this year for the first time ever

6/x Let's not forget that #Europe is seeing a true #Renaissance in battery supply chain too. Lots of megafactories growth and increasing focus on upstream too. @andyleyland1 always has great commentary on this topic in his conference speaking

7/x One #keystone event for our industry was September's @Tesla #batteryday. I sincerely believe we will look back on this event 10 years from now as a major turning point for the entire industry. Big shout out to @baglino and his team on a culmination of years of effort

8/x 2020 will also go down as the year when our industry saw a SPAC explosion: from @arrival to @QuantumScapeCo and several others. Some say SPACs are here to stay. Others call BS. But in the end, if help they get more EVs on the road, thats what matters.

Exactly a year ago yesterday, I sent @anuarbekiman a cold email about his work. A few weeks later, I met him and @RealLifeStarman @EliBurton_ for the first time at Fully Charged Live in #Austin! Sadly, #Covid lockdowns started weeks later

10/x At that same event, I met @Gfilche @HyperChangeTV and he was nice enough to have me onto his show twice a few months later. I've been a fan of his work for years now starting from the epic May 2018 $TSLA earnings call, so this was a real treat

11/x There were many more podcasts and virtual meet-ups throughout the year. Not going to tag them all, but I always appreciate being invited. It is amazing how quickly the industry went virtual, but I cant wait to see everyone again at next year's in-person @benchmarkmin events

12/x Speaking of going virtual, my "day job" studying for @StanfordGSB MBA did too. I gave the #Energy #Seminar lecture on March 2 to a full room of 200+, but within days Stanford had shifted everything to Zoom. Profs and classmates adapted like heroes

13/x Last but not least, I realized once again that I married up when @VeronicaSaron made the #ForbesUnder30 list a few days ago. This photo was on Winter Solstice 2019 when we went to @Dishoom #London. Cant wait to (finally...) honeymoon in 2021 after I graduate 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍

14/14 Thank you to everyone from the global #electricvehicle and #battery industries who made a forgettable year unforgettable in many ways. Hard to believe that we are still at the beginning of the technology revolution that will define our generation. In the end, #WeWillWin
