2/n When people speak about “country x’s right to defend itself” - what you should ask, does the leadership of country x have the right to provoke violence? and do the actions taken really constitute defense or serve another agenda? #KnowWhatToAsk #IsraelPalestine

3/n When they say but “look at the violence in the streets by the minority ” - what you should ask, is what has been done to the minority , how many have been dispossessed, killed without recourse, disenfranchised and for how long? #IsraelPalestine #EndTheOppression

4/n And when violence is periodic, ask what is the trigger, the provocation. And when they say “we have to oppress the other for our safety” you just ask - you have now oppressed them for seventy four years - are you really safer? #IsraelPalestine

5/n As you gather your thoughts, I suggest you ask yourself, who benefits from this continued, senseless, cruel situation? #IsraelPalestine #WhoBenefits

6/n Because in Israel/Palestine the answer who does not benefit is clear. The dead, the wounded, the injured, obviously do not benefit, nor do their families, friends, communities #IsraelPalestine #WhoBenefits

7/n If you think about this, even those incited, those who carry out the acts of hate, even the killings do not benefit. Think about it. Think about it again - they don’t benefit #IsraelPalestine

8/n For me this is personal. my parents were refugees. They lost their families & communities to genocide driven by racism, facilitated by indifference. They never expected hate & repression to be promoted in their name, by their people #NotInMyName #IsraelPalestine #NeverAgain

10/n Hearing the #StandWithIsreal misinformation, as a Jewish Israeli descendant to refugees & survivors I feel I have to take a public stand - criticizing the current Israeli regimes actions against Palestinian Arabs is #Not #Antisemitism - it is the #RightThingToDo
