Vaccination status of #Covid19 cases/deaths since #CovidVaccine program began Dec 2020 in Ontario.

#FullyVaccinated people account for a tiny % of cases/deaths!🙏🏻

This may partly be because there weren't many #FullyVaccinated ppl until recently.
Vaccines reduce symptom severity so less testing may also be done.
Graph shows most post-vax cases occurring before efficacy onset (7d+ after dose 2)

Definitions:
Unvaccinated = No vax
Not yet protected = 0-13 days after 1st dose of vaccine
Partially vaccinated = 14d+ after 1 of 2 doses, or 0-6 days after 2nd dose
Fully vaccinated = 7d+ post 2 dose vaccine series, or 14 days post 1 dose vaccine series

#COVID19 Cases (Dec 14/20 - June 12/21):
Total = 396,076
Unvaccinated = 362,062 (91.4%)
Not yet protected = 18,073 (4.6%)
Partially vaccinated = 14,293 (3.6%)
Fully vaccinated = 1,648 (0.4%)✅

Looking closer at the "breakthrough cases" in the fully vaccinated group.
1,648 total cases:
🦠 788 symptomatic, 860 asymptomatic.
💉 10 AZ, 277 Moderna, 1361 Pfizer. (May reflect vaccine type distribution #'s)

#COVID19 Deaths (Dec 14/20 - June 12/21):
Total = 4,978*
Unvaccinated = 4,138 (83.1%)
Not yet protected OR unknown = 534* (10.7%)
Partially vaccinated = 274 (5.5%)
Fully vaccinated = 32 (0.6%)

#COVID19 ICU (Dec 14/20 - June 12/21):
ICU: Total = ?
Unvaccinated: 3271
Not yet protected = ?
Partially vaccinated = 137
Fully vaccinated = 9
(I could not find ICU total in this pdf or elsewhere)

This linked pdf is updated periodically by Public Health Ontario. There is additional info re: variants etc. It is a bit difficult to interpret but I hope this thread helps for those asking for the vaccination status of cases/deaths! #VaccinesWork 💪🏻
