In its most recent report, released under the Protecting Europe's Energy Security Act (PEESA), the US State Department listed four vessels and five individuals, including Nord Stream 2 AG and

its CEO Matthias Warnig, as having been involved in the construction of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline. They will now be subject to US sanctions, as required by PEESA. Furthermore, 9 vessels will be allocated because they are owned or

operated by the Federal State Budgetary Institution Marine Rescue Service, which was also stated in the report. However, the Secretary of State announced that the sanctions on Mr. Warnig, Nord Stream 2, and its corporate officers will be waived due to national security concerns.
