Since takeover of Kabul by the Taliban on 15 August, #ISKP claimed 28 high&low profile attacks mainly in Kabul, Nangarhar, Kunar&Parwan provinces.
While 2 attacks were recorded in 2nd half of Aug., both in Kabul, in Sep. there were 23 attacks& in Oct. up to now, the number is 3.
Distribution of all 28 attacks in provinces was as follow:
Nangarhar (Mainly #Jalalabad City): 17 #Kabul: 5
Kunar: 3
Parwan: 3
Types of #ISKP attacks: With exception of two Suicide & one Rocket attack (IDF), other attacks mainly included IED detonations, shootings & few ambushes.
#Targets of ISKP attacks:
While civilians were directly&indirectly affected by the ISKP attacks, the group mainly targeted Taliban in their all 28 attacks except the 2 against Kabul International Airport (one suicide&another an IDF attack, where Taliban were not primary targets).
The #casualties of the #ISKP attacks were different and ranging from no casualties in MIED detonations against fuel tankers to few in targeted killings and very high in the suicide attack. E.g. few hundreds people were killed& wounded in Kabul International Airport attack in Aug.
The historical trend of the number ISKP attacks in AFG is on average nearly 200 per year. The number of ISKP attacks in September is matching numbers of some previous months of the same year, but higher than averege per month in few previous years&n 2015, when ISKP newly started.
Before Taliban's takeover of Kabul, the ISKP targets mainly included ANSF members, govt. officials, Shias, Taliban, civil society activists& rarely members or gatherings of political& religious parties, but in the above reporting period, TB remained as the main target of attacks.

The below report about #foreign_fighters in the north of #AFG is mainly based on incorrect info from anonymous and irrelevant sources, and looks more like a propaganda paper against the #Taliban.
There are some obvious facts that don't need much inquiry: gandhara.rferl.org/amp/taliban-ta…
The issue of new weapons& equipment is very clear. In all AFG, now TB have control over weapons depots& a large number of new military vehicles, & it is not specific to the north or Tajikistani fighters.
No source confirmed to me, the deployment of Tajik fighters to border areas.
While the report quoted Tajik& Afghan sources saying at least 200 militants from Tajikistan are currently based along the border, the actual number of all FFs in the north is about 300 with Tajiks making less than 100 out of it (2nd large group after Uzbeks among Central Asians).
#Taliban: "A bomb detonated in a gathering of civilians in the entrance of Eidgah Mosque in #Kabul this afternoon, leaving a number of civilians dead/wounded."
Note: Funneral ceremony of the mother of IEA's Deputy Minister of Info&Culture Z. Mujahid was ongoing inside the mosque.
While the updated& official casualty figures of today's #explosion are not announced yet, credible sources said that 8 were killed& 20 more wounded.
A pro-TB account wrote that following the explosion, a suspected suicide bomber was arrested near the incident scene (Unconfirmed).
#UN condemned yesterday's attack in #Kabul City that targeted those people gathered for a funeral ceremony in Eidgah mosque, in PD1.
#Taliban officially rejected #Dutch media report about #prosecution of former Dutch forces #interpreters by IEA in #Afghanistan:
"According to Dutch national television report, the Islamic Emirate's security forces have summoned interpreters who worked ...
... with Dutch forces for prosecution. We reject this report as untrue and this is just a claim and propaganda.
Some people may be trying to leave the country (Afghanistan) and seek asylum with these kind of claims."
While @arabnews reported about a firing near Russian embassy in west of #Kabul, in the east, in PD12, two gunmen jumped out of a car, opened fire on two passers-by&fled the area. The victims then succumbed to their injuries in the hospital. @BabaMeenaKabul
The two victims of yesterday's target killing in PD12 were reportedly brothers& from Nangarhar. One of them was a former Karate Champion, Mehrabuddin Reha.
A source said that they were killed in the series of recent anti-Salafi campaign of target killings.
Extrajudicial retaliatory killing of #Salafi/#ISKP loyalists by #Taliban in AFG reportedly continue:
Pro-TB sources are sharing photos of the victims allegedly killed by the Taliban under pretext of being ISKP loyslists, mainly in Nangarhar. Below are yesterday's GRAPHIC images:
An #explosion followed by gunfire (a Complex Attack) reported in #Charikar City, capital of #Parwan Province, today afternoon.
I have conflicting details from an MIED+SAF to storming of a private guesthouse by a group of suspected ISKP members after an explosion. @CalibreObscura
Clarification:
An IED detonation against a #Taliban vehicle in PD2 of #Charikar City, at 11:00am today, wounded 2 TB fighters. da.azadiradio.com/a/31487586.html
A Complex Attack took place in the afternoon in PD3 of Charikar City, which is still ongoing. No confirmed details available yet.
While @afintlbrk reported that 4 #Taliban& 3 #ISKP members were killed in today afternoon's incident in #Charikar, another pro-TB source explained the incident as follow:
Following morning explosion against TB vehicle in Charikar City, two suspects were...
17 #Taliban and 4 #ISKP (Daesh) members were killed in a clash between the two groups in #Arghandab District of #Zabul Province. Local sources told @kabulnewstv that the ISKP fighters, equipped with heavy& light weapons, ambushed the Taliban.
In mid-2015, #Zabul Province was a second stronghold of #ISKP in AFG after Nangarhar. #IMU leader, Usman Ghazi & his supporters who pledged allegiance to Islamic State fought Taliban till death in Zabul, but the province was cleared of ISKP in end of 2015. jamestown.org/program/wilaya…
