Okay these accusations by Durham that Danchenko lied to the FBI are incredibly sketchy. For example Danchenko is not lying that he didn't know Charles Dolan but rather that Dolan was not one of his sources for the #SteeleDossier. Check out this interview exhibit.

Danchenko in the covert interview thinks the FBI is asking his opinion of Charles Dolan & his interest in Russia as something that could be interpreted as malign. Danchenko essentially laughs. But in actuality FBI is subtly probing Danchenko to c if Dolan was one of his sources

So this is seriously open for interpretation depending on which side of the fence you are on. Durham essentially is saying Dolan must be one of Danchenko's sources & Danchenko is saying no. How that hell is this even legitimate line of inquiry ..besides exposing anonymous sources

This is ridiculous actually. Durham I think is trying to claim there is no way Danchenko could have procured some of the intel in the #SteeleDossier without getting it from Dolan. Danchenko himself in the interview chuckles that Dolan is naive relative to Russian affairs ... 1/2

And more importantly there is nothing in the #SteeleDossier that is exclusive to Dolan and couldn't have been found using other #OSINT and #HUMINT methods.

Arrggh this part about Danchenko & whether Sergei Millian was one of his sources. I mean for one, being a source for something like this that puts a target on your back by the Kremlin is going to naturally require obfuscation. And again why the focus on outing anonymous sources?

I don't know what is true or not but if it started with an anonymous phone call / likely for #Opsec reasons ... Danchenko isn't going to BLOW that cover 2 wks later and say "Hey it was great to hear from you on the phone 2 wks ago". WTF Durham you can't be this daft!

Okay this is just dumb ... and makes the Durham / Trump #MAGA agenda obvious #steeledossier

In the end this Danchenko indictment is immaterial to 99.99% of the Mueller investigation, the Manafort & Gates indictments, the Russian GRU indictments, IRA troll farm ect. It in NO WAY makes the Trump-Russia investigations a hoax or diminishes the seriousness of Trump-Russia.

And don't take my previous tweet to suggest I don't believe in the general content of the #SteeleDossier or that it was purposeful disinfo. I don't & have never believed that. It was raw intel not to be published as is. Here is one of our prior threads

Let this sink in ... for Danchenko to really prove his innocence to Durham and his paper-thin indictment, Danchenko has to out his confidential (possibly Russian) source. And all for something that is completely immaterial at this point. #Opsec

Good critique of the error-riddled NYTimes article yesterday on the John Durham indictment of Igor Danchenko from the #SteeleDossier. Sounds like because of Seth's viral thread the NYT actually corrected some of their errors.

My biggest immediate complaint from yesterday's news coverage was the continued generic references to "Feds" and "DOJ". Garland and Wray had nothing to do with this ... it was all Barr appointed Special Counsel Durham from the Trump administration.

Nevermind the insane amplification on Posobiec's tweet ... but wow the far-right echo chamber is mad mad mad today that the weak Danchenko indictment isn't front and center on every news station. #SteeleDossier still real and not disproven.
