1/47 If you're new to #cryptocurrecy, getting started can be quite confusing. Especially when you're having to use a #DEX to purchase your desired #crypto #asset because it isn't listed on a popular #CEX yet. So let me see if I can help you with this guide.

#CEX = centralised exchange, these are your typical #Mainstream #apps found mostly in the #app store
#DEX = decentralised exchange, these are more like a site that may host a broader range of projects not currently found on the #CEX. #LEONICORNSWAP falls into this category.

3/47 For the purposes of this tutorial, I'll be using the #binance #app. Some may not be able to use it in their countries so look around as they all basically do the same things.

7/47 I will be purchasing #LEONICORNSWAP $LEOS on the #BinanceSmartChain network and using #Trustwallet to connect to the #DEX.
Because we are using the #BSC #network the easiest way is to use #BNB.

8/47 First of all, download #Binance & #Trustwallet from the #AppStore. There are millions of downloads for each so make sure you have the right apps. We will be using #binance in standard form, not 'Lite' mode.

9/47 You will need to sign up for #binance and verify yourself. To sign up, you'll require an email address & password. After, due to regulations, you will require identification documents to verify yourself. There are different levels of verifications that require more info.

10/47 You can further verify yourself and switch from 'Lite mode' by heading to the settings in the top left if the #Binance #app. For the most basic verification, photo I.D is usually required. Passport, drivers license is widely accepted.

11/47 Once you complete the primary verification, you can make your first purchase. On the home page you can select "Buy with your currency" (Fiat - gbp/usd etc). As previously stated, we will be buying LEOS which requires BNB or BUSD (#binance dollars).

12/47 After selecting #BNB, enter the amount you wish to purchase. Go ahead and enter your card details to confirm transaction. Once you are complete, you may have to verify the purchase via a SMS code.

13/47 If you are in the UK and struggle to purchase through #binance directly like myself, then read the next few tweets. Otherwise, if your purchase was successful you can skip to tweet number 26/47

14/47 To bypass the bank block, I registered with Coinbase Pro, verified myself the same way as binance then when selecting deposit GBP (this may work for other countries, otherwise ask around for a rework), perform a bank transfer. Use the details provided with your banking app.

15/47 Once you have the funds on #Coinbase, go to the market tab, find LTC/GBP, open it and you will see the green/red graphs. Change the drop down option from Limit (buy/sell order) to Market (instant purchase). Select the amount you want, or 100% it then press buy.

16/47 The reason we buy #LTC (#Litecoin) is because #BNB isn't available on Coinbase. #LTC has very cheap transfer rates and is a reasonably fast #network to work with so you won't be sitting around for hours.

17/47 Now go to your portfolio. You should see you LTC there with a fiat amount under it. You can press on this token to open the following page which will give you a "Deposit" and a "Withdraw" option. Each crypto asset address is unique so only send/receive LTC using this page.

18/47 The Deposit function is to receive LTC to the app you are currently on from any other exchange. The withdraw feature allows you to withdraw your LTC to your LTC address on other exchanges. For now press withdraw and then choose crypto address.

19/47 Open your binance app. Press the wallet icon on the bottom right of the app. Then press "Spot". Half way down that screen and on the right, there is a magnifying glass or, search function. Press this and type LTC. Select LTC and then Deposit.

20/47 Select Litecoin for your network. On this page you will see your wallet address. This is your unique wallet address to receive LTC on the #binance app only. Copy this wallet address and head back over to coinbase pro.

21/47 Once you're back on Coinbase Pro, you will be on the withdrawal page where it requests a wallet address from you. Go ahead and press wallet address, then paste your binance address on the next page and press the popup below to select it.

22/47 Go ahead and enter the amount you want to send or 100%. Press withdraw and then enter the confirmation SMS/email code that will be sent to you.
Wait upto 20 mins for your funds to go through to #Binance.

23/47 Once your funds land on binance, head over to the market tab at the bottom. Search for LTC at the top and select LTC/USDT. Press the star Icon to favourite this coin and remove the need to use the search function in the future.

24/47 Make sure you are on the "SELL" tab. Select the drop down and change from "Limit" to "Market" once again. Sell the amount you wish or press the 100% option displayed under the unit box. Confirm and you will receive USDT.

25/47 Go back to the markets and search for BNB. Select BNB/USDT. Press the "Buy" tab, ensure the drop down says market and not limit, enter the amount you want to buy or 100%. Confirm and you will now be at the same point as the 13th tweet in this series.

26/47 Now you have #BNB ready on the #binance app, we are going to switch over to the @TrustWallet app.
Create a new wallet and follow the instructions, ensuring you select multicoin wallet. Make sure you write down your 12 words on a piece of paper and **never ever lose it**.

27/47 The 12 words given are your way to recover your wallet if your device breaks or you upgrade it. It also helps make your assets extremely secure. These should be stored safely & physically and not within your device.

28/47 Once the wallet is created, you will see 4 coins. To display a new token, press on the top right icon, select any tokens you wish to display or scroll to the bottom to setup a custom token address. The next tweet is very important to avoid scams.

29/47 It is essential you verify that you are adding the correct token. There are many ways to find token addresses. Bscscan.com hosts many real and fakes. You can usually verify a tokens address by finding a genuine telegram channel. Search for ones with high members

30/47 You can also follow the twitter handles behind the projects or the website. It's useful to follow twitter handles to receive information about your project and take part in competitions.
