Wisdom is the ability to proffer solutions in the midst of chaos. It is the use of your experience, intelligence, thought process, observations, reflections and understanding of issues to make good judgement. Go for wisdom, it will surely translate to wealth.
The level of uncertainties in the world today will require wise decision to be able to sail through. No one knows what the next few months hold however with good judgement, you can optimize the moment.
KNOWLEDGE
There are a lot of things to learn and the more you learn, the more you realize you need to know more. Knowledge is critical in today's world. A man who will be wise will increase learning. You must never stop acquiring knowledge. Buy books.
Any area that is giving you challenges can always be dealt with by a journal, a book or a research material. Visit a bookstore regularly and check for books that address your area of concern. With more knowledge, you have the potential for wisdom.
DISCRETION
Discretion can be regarded as common sense, unfortunately, what is always said to be common sense is not common to all. Sometimes, it is referred to as native intelligence. You actually need to train your senses to enable its optimal use.
Discretion also refers to prudence, sensitivity, tact and diplomacy. Tact is needed when everything goes into a state of confusion. Jumping to make decisions may not be a good attribute this year as the events require patience and calmness.
INSIGHT
Insight is seeing beyond what other people see. It is actually a virtue that is used to describe elders in my traditional place. Insight is developed with experience and deep reflection. A good observer of events can have insight and can predict what will be the outcome.
Insight is a product of your ability to discern.
It helps you to see beyond your peers.
Insight is seeing into the deep things.
Others see the surface, you see beyond the surface.
The above combination of wisdom, knowledge, discretion and insight will distinguish you this year. Go for them. Develop them and apply them in your career and business.
Wishing you a result oriented year ahead.

Recently, I spent my evening with a friend who is a Finance Director in one of the leading consumer goods company in 🇳🇬 and we sat down to review the performance of different FMCG in 2021 and it was mixed stories of the good, the better and the ugly
The ugly was the input material prices which were rising due to dollar scarcity and global supply chain crisis and that left the companies with no alternative than to increase prices of goods.
This triggered inflation in Q1.
Last year saw many consumer goods companies increase prices of goods as many as three times.
The most alarming thing was that the more the prices were increased, the more products these organizations were selling.
I had a trip on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway on the South Western part of Nigeria some months ago. There was a SUV who was speeding ahead of me. He was a little bit reckless trying to navigate and swerve between vehicles.
Having worked in a company some years back where you are not allowed to travel above 100km/hr, I have made a custom of not exceeding 120km/hr no matter how good the road is.
I watched this SUV till he was out of my sight but I wasn't comparing myself with him.
Rather, I stayed on my lane. Few minutes after, I saw the vehicle at the side of the road with its bonnet opened and I left it behind. Of course, something was wrong with the vehicle and it had to be checked.
If we are unable to make a decision for what is important to us as professionals as well as career men and women, we will fall victim of wanting to touch everything and end up not achieving anything.
You need to make a choice for what is most important to you per time.
The marketing professionals have also not helped because every where you turn today, you are being advertised to. Something is beckoning to you to get your attention.
In view of the above, the virtue of discipline has become more important than ever.
While growing up, I saw my father describe my mother as having the same features as that of his mum. In other words, he was trying to say all women are the same.
I felt somehow with those words because I felt my mother is different and she shouldn't be compared with my grandmother. Years later, I read the book: Understanding the Purpose and Power of Woman by Myles Munroe and I saw that women are special creatures created delicately by God
After marriage, I could repeat the words of my father that my wife has some peculiarities like my mother.
Coming down to the title: "You are beautiful", women like to be acknowledged no matter how old and no matter how religious.
Decisions make a man. You are a product of the decisions you made years ago. We make decisions on a daily basis and the decisions we make today have impact on where we will be tomorrow and in the years to come.
Many years ago, you decided to complete your secondary school education and proceeded to the tertiary institution. You could have decided otherwise but you knew that the consequence of not moving forward your education will not be favourable.
Every decision made has consequences. Not making a decision is a decision in itself. Being slow in taking decision is also a decision and all these have varying consequences.
