Don't blame #Putin or #Covid for your sky-high grocery bill. Blame the elites who collude with the biggest scam in history, involving #CentralBanks and their friends in finance, under the cover of the pandemic
A thread on #QuantitativeSleazing ...

Since the start of the pandemic in March 2020, #CentralBanks in the West began pouring trillions into the coffers of large corporations, making their #stockmarket friends rich while making us poorer through high #inflation
#QuantitativeSleazing

#CentralBanks should not favour one business over another by giving them easy loans. Helping large & dirty corporations outcompete smaller firms is anti-business, anti-markets, anti-democratic & anti-sustainability. Such #QuantitativeSleazing makes mockery of green promises Image
By choosing the world’s largest asset manager to manage its buying of #CorporateBonds, the #USFed pumped up shares of #Blackrock’s investments. Imagine bullies taking over the school sweet shop & handing the sweets to their friends. But worse, it affects what we can afford to eat Image
In my #TEDx talk 10 years ago I said the monetary system is violent to ourselves & nature, so must be reformed, disrupted or escaped. I mentioned #Bitcoin & warned of Facebook issuing a currency to take power. A decade on I discovered it is a lot worse
The whitepaper for #Bitcoin first appeared in the world via the @P2P_Foundation. Did #Satoshi conclude that monetary reform is impossible & disruptive innovation essential? It's why I publish my essay on #QuantitativeSleazing on their wiki.

Remember when the Left stood up for collective worker needs & the Right stood up for small business? Both are screwed by the pandemic #QuantitativeSleazing scam from Central Banks, yet neither Left or Right responded. Have they? Image
The power of unaccountable & impoverishing alliances between the state & the largest corporations has a definition in political theory. In what ways is corporate bond buying by Central Banks not a technocratic #FinancialFascism?
wiki.p2pfoundation.net/Responding_to_… Image
For the last 2 yrs, economics journalists didn't warn us how Central Banks were dishing out cash to large firms, distorting markets & making us poorer. What does that show us about them? @AbbyMartin @novaramedia @tomazgreco @scientificecon @MomentumEconomy wiki.p2pfoundation.net/Responding_to_…
Our problem with mass media & bigtech is not they are owned by a billionaire who is from a dodgy country or who has one biz sector interest. Key is that they are all owned & sponsored by people & institutions benefitting from the biggest scam in history - #QuantitativeSleazing Image
Ineffective critics have asked for more transparency, or for less QE to go to #fossilfuel companies. For 2 years they haven’t quite been shouting the alarm, or resisting with legal action, political pressure, or even direct action. But we still could..?
wiki.p2pfoundation.net/Responding_to_… Image
“The #WorldBank Chief Economist illogically puts blame for inflation on non-monetary policy causes, such as oil prices, while @ same time calling on Central Banks to tackle inflation as if it had a monetary cause. That is tantamount to calling on the mugger to nurse the wounded” Image
Beyond high #inflation, you can read about the wider damage caused by corporate bond buying by #CentralBanks, under the cover of the pandemic, in my essay on the #P2PFoundation
@TulsiGabbard @MMFlint @aaronjmate @claudiogisler @britishchambers @CBItweets

What to do? Don’t be distracted by #ConspiracyTheorists pushing our concern & righteous anger into a dead-end of impotent stress. The current system & its officials are the enemy, not vague ideas on future #CBDC/UBI. The latter is entertaining irrelevance wiki.p2pfoundation.net/Responding_to_… Image
So much we can do! I list 10 actions & conclude please "forward this essay to producers of contrarian analysis on social media, such as @chrismartenson @BretWeinstein @rustyrockets @WisdomRebel @joerogan @EmpireFiles & @unherd"
Thx @P2P_Foundation

I added an addendum about Dr Vighi's arguments about Central Banker's prior anticipation of the pandemic lockdown policies, and on the power of #Aladdin system/robot at #Blackrock by @rogerhamilton See the end of my blog on this thread jembendell.com/2022/03/24/don… @PositiveMoneyUK
The Bank of International Settlements is a kind of Central Bank of Central Banks. It promoted the mass corporate bond buying by #CentralBanks which is at the root of global high #inflation. But its boss will blame anything else. #TechnocraticCrooks?
theguardian.com/business/2022/…
Critiques of #BankOfEngland hurting the poor by CAUSING #highinflation are getting a bit more attention. Now for the more mainstream commentariat?

As the #greenlash delivers a blow to environmental politics & policy across Europe, will the movement realise the harm from its adoption of corporatist ecomodern lies so as to avoid economic justice being the centrepiece of a serious green agenda? 🧵
In reality, to cope with & reduce ecological damage, & its already-apparent impacts on peoples lives, such as food prices, modern societies must power down & consume less, with the rich being made to go first. Anything other than that will be rejected in grossly unequal societies
For decades, we knew that technologies and efficiencies will not magically deliver us from overshooting planetary limits. Green agendas of the 70s and 80s centered economic redesign and redistribution. But since the 90s, new leaders adopted & sold us easy stories of salvation.

This tweet won't be liked now but will age well. Like all past promises, future funds 4 #LossAndDamage won't appear, or be deducted from other development funds, or made as loans, & much of it will end up in the pockets of the rich in North & South #cop27 jembendell.com/2022/11/18/cap…
That is NOT cynicism, but an extrapolation into the future based on empirical analysis of past rich world promises on adaptation & mitigation funding. It is NOT cynical to reject elite hype & uphold the critique of climate finance from the real grassroots ienearth.org/wp-content/upl…
In the coming years we will see who are the "#astroturf" #climateactivists that serve as sychophants to power & promote only ecomodernist ideas on the crisis, versus the real networks of solidarity formed by people who know what justice & healing involves. I met both at #COP27

Filling out a survey from #cop27 organisers & explaining why I didn't use their unethical & intrusive phone app. For @UNFCCC to consent to such behaviour by a host is a gross disregard of principles agreed by the UN since 2003 at @WSISprocess. There should be accountability in UN Image
The UN's declaration of principles says "governments, and other stakeholders, should actively promote user education and awareness about online privacy and the means of protecting privacy" - so that's not accessing private data of attendees of UN events
un-documents.net/wsis-poa.htm
An article in the Guardian after good work by activists for digital privacy and freedoms alerted a lot of delegates to the intrusiveness of the app, as otherwise WE WOULD NOT HAVE KNOWN

Dear #TradeUnion movement, New data from Israel shows Pfizer Vax protection may not last so won't prevent a future wave. We urgently need govts to change labour laws to empower symptomatic staff (prior to testing) to protect others by staying off work without loss of pay or job
That doesn't mean a new lockdown, but empowering staff to make wise choices despite having poor job security or zero hour contracts. That may mean employers need support for the costs. Treating people like adults not idiots :-) #FreedomToCare
That such ideas weren't pushed a year ago is an indictment of how disconnected the middle class Left is from the people who have long commutes on public transport to insecure jobs. But the Left has a 2nd chance to wake up & save lives if this virus will hit again this winter

Crikey...
Time for a shift in strategy for the Autumn, to better protect the vulnerable & empower staff so when they're symptomatic (prior to testing) they protect others by staying away from work/crowds/enclosed spaces. Imagining vaccines are the answer may be a distraction
Although AZ, sinovac and sinopharm might not have as poor performance against new variants as does Pfizer. I'd like to see new info on that (not from the company initial effectiveness studies, but on current effectiveness against variants).
Comments on this graph focus on vax v unvax but that was not the point of the tweeter nor me. The point is that smarter policies to protect the vulnerable and reduce spread look like they will be required, as at least the Pfizer vaccines don't look like preventing a future wave.

Framing 1: that the environmental crisis is about our children's future. Yes, it is. But the implicit message of focusing on that is that the environmental crisis is not about people's damaged and disrupted present.
Framing 2: that there is time to fix the environment rather than us already being in a situation of disaster management, where there is a lot to do urgently, but which won't fix the situation - just give us more of a chance to be reducing potential impacts.
