Very good to see how clearly the #IntegratedReview prioritizes #Europe & the #UK role via #NATO
Also good to see that cooperation with the #EU in the area of #security is specifically referenced.
On this day, 75 years ago, #Stauffenberg and others risked all to decapitate the Nazi regime and end the war. Those involved were soldiers and civilians. They came from the left and the right of the political spectrum.
We will remember them. #20Juli1944
Since the question was asked: The photo is of my grandfather, Fritz Count von der Schulenburg, his wife Charlotte, and their six children. He was arrested on 20 July and excuted on 10 August 1944.
Many thnx for the replies. My grandfather was hardly flawless. But:
- He was involved in plans for a coup from 1938 onward
- He was a liaison to socialdemocrats (Julius Leber)
- He knew chances of success were slim in 44
-He knew what was at risk if the coup failed and went ahead
