#India#PublicDebt to #GDP - CAN INDIA Sustain a High Real GDP growth say 6% for 15 years ?
Empirical Evidence collected by several peer reviewed papers indicate an economy's growth Faulters when PUBLIC DEBT > 85-90% . India Debt/GDP = 90%. Chart 2 implications. COMMENTS welcome
See how Indias Debt to GDP has reached almost 90% despite Indias TAX TO GDP ratio being at its LIFE-TIME high...
And Empirical Evidence from over 32 economies which have witnessed development indicate that LongTerm REAL gdp growth struggles to exceed 3-4% over a 5 to 15 year time-frame.
Challange India has is 6 fold 1) World Growth is slowing down 2) Easy Money of the last 20 years is behind us 3) Energy Costs are rising 4) AI is replacing lots of low end jobs (Seen #chatgpt3 ?) 5) Near-Shoring or De-globalization is rising. 6) INR is NOT a "Reserve" Currency
if you liked this and found its thought provoking, kindly #Retweet. I really want to get wider COMMENTS on this coz almost every single person in the Indian Economic space is saying 7-8% Long Term GDP growth but NOBODY talks of DEBT/GDP. Pls #Retweet
Capex of All India Listed Non financial Cos has NOT INCREASED (128% of Depreciation < 2003)
Judge #PLI based on this number over the next 3yrs…
For those who don’t understand this chart,Shows How Much of CAPEX Corporate India (Excluding Financial cos) is doing as percentage of the Depreciation. This Ratio was as high as 300%…. In FY21 and FY22, it’s at a RECORD LOW.
if this Ratio improved by 30%, it’s ZILCH vs History
Remember that the #ModiGovt has given companies a Massive Annual Saving with a 25% TAX RATE as well as a PLI Scheme.
Question is: would Corporate India spent the same even without the PLI Scheme, PROOF of PLI Success will be ONLY if This RATIO were to return to 250%
Today LIC owns 45.8mn shares of #AdaniEnterprises worth 18000cr making them the Single largest Buyer and Single Biggest Non-Promoter Holder with 15% of the Free Float. Return on this holding is STELLAR.
So what was the Rs10,800cr Mistake ?
Back in 2017 March, LIC owned ~28mn Shares (Worth Rs11000cr at todays CMP of Rs3961).
By June 2017, LIC holding was REDUCED TO ZERO and it netted LIC just Rs235cr (Rs2.35bn) at an appx price of Rs84/sh
#EVMs#Elections: When does your vote eventually get recorded? Ran a poll & 187 people participated across 2 instances. 55% voted in favor of VVPAT. Remaining 45% for other 3.
Take a DEEP BREATHE - ALL 4 Options ARE WRONG.
Why? Vote get recorded ONLY on CLOSURE of EVM
These machines comes with 1 TIME WRITE CHIP. Once the EVM runs out of either vote capacity or the voting booth has to be closed, the final tally of the Votes that have been cast get recorded ONCE & FINALLY on this Chip and Cant be changed.
So how can EVMs Malfunction? 2 ways
Understand why i used the word malfunction
1) Every EVM comes with a RESET button for testing it machine before its used. RESET button resets the "Test Votes" that are cast during testing exercise on the day the votes are to be cast. You can think of how this can be misused.
I did an analysis of the 2014 and 2019 constituency analysis. It takes just a switch of 2.5% of votes from one candidate to another candidate implying a 5% DELTA which changes a Minority Party to a Majority Party.
I have a fundamental mistrust of anything Digital especially EVMs #regardless of the Vote #outcome
Why ? (1) I used to be a high end communication tech engineer. (2) Precisely why countries that had EVMs went back to Paper Ballot.
There is NO EVIDENCE Yet that #China is removed the Covid lockdown . It’s increasing becoming evident that Xi is using this as a method to #control#Anger & #Protests.
Democracies like Canada and India are also moving in the same direction.
Dabur did the same thing during #covid. Do these brands have any Moral ethics ? Here is my #thread on #DaburChyawanprash disputing what they claimed about the product.
