I am going to post how this virus has destroyed me as a HCW. I have a Dr. in pharm, with a specialty in infectious disease. I worked on the critical weird cases. I have practiced for 18 years. I knew about #covid on 12/29/19. This was me the week before I knew is was airborne 🧵

I started crunching the numbers Jan 7 2020. By the 14th I knew it was airborne. I started warning colleagues & hospital admin on the 27th. I was laughed at & criticized. Gaslighting at its finest. By Feb 5th I had to take my Covid info private due to professional harassment 🧵

I kept trying to fight the good fight. Many people who did work with me asked me for advice. I recommended the following Feb 7th 2020. I knew this was going to be catastrophic. I calculated an initial R2.3 & mortality of 1.3-2.3%. This was FEBRUARY 2020! The @WHO or @CDCgov?! 🧵

I heard over & over that I was wrong & overreacting. I contacted the hospital admins & presented everything, all based on real data. Explained we needed to order PPE NOW. Not surgical masks, but #N95 & respirators preferably. They quoted @CDCgov saying it wasn’t airborne 🙄 🧵

I decided to go underground, so I started offering live Q&A to HCWs regarding donning & doffing PPE. I recommended a full face mask respirator. As well as explaining what airborne WAS, why it was so dangerous. How this was spreading so rapidly. Why prevention was SO important! 🧵

I had many friends going to Carnival in Venice. I knew this would be a super spreader event. Here were people coming in from all over the world. Guess where is hit Europe first? Veneto, Italy. Where all the Carnival people flew into. I predicted this Feb 2 20. Where was @WHO? 🧵

Almost every prediction I have made has come true. But I am not working in medicine or public health at ALL. I feel so betrayed by those I once trusted to protect people. They still stand there & lie to the public. It’s a horrible mess. I see VERY bad things in our future 😞🧵

I see where this is going. It’s so bad I no longer speak about it. This snowball of disease has reached catastrophic critical mass & is destabilizing governments. The way out is not easy, but it is very simple. However the world will not listen to those like me. They will wait 🧵

However @WHO & @CDCgov have lost all credibility. There is no where left to turn. Governments have opted for the path to catastrophe in the form of serially infecting their populations for a pipe dream of “herd immunity”. IT DOESN’T EXIST WITH COVID. We need a layered approach 🧵

However until the sane, rational, WELL EDUCATED, voices, who have been right this whole time are heard, humanity is in for a rough road that medicine can’t fix. Governments are bowing to big business & 🍒 pick their “experts” to tell them what they want to hear. BAD POLICY 🧵

Layered approach: vaccinate (optional), high quality N95 masks with info on how to use, care for them, & when to replace, routine TRACKED home testing, greatly improved indoor air quality standards with ventilation requirements, people stay home until RAT test negative 🧵

GOVERNMENTS would have to provide these things. Including free healthcare & mental healthcare. People are traumatized & afraid. Not a good combination. HCWs need major support. We are quitting en mass. You need us. So care for us. We can’t just be easily replaced. #CovidIsNotOver
