Here's a quick pixel art pro-tip for easy dithering in Photoshop. Set a dither pattern as your brush texture and change the mode to subtract
This also works with my fancier dither pattern which allows you to select a dither amount by adjusting the brightness
if you're curious about that dither pattern, it's made by averaging the colors of a bunch of dither patterns on top of eachother
You can also control dithering with pen pressure via these settings.
