Here’s what's going on: @HouseJudiciary Republicans want to pass H.R. 4092 to create a vast exploitable labor force of guestworkers.

The bill creates a new temporary worker program, allowing up to 2 million workers in to work for low wages and without labor protections.

H.R. 4092 does a tremendous disservice to the American workforce and industry by creating a new substandard, sub-paid "guest" workforce.

Under this bill, immigrant workers will be exploited. American workers will suffer.

Workers in forestry and logging and canning and meatpacking, from Wisconsin to Georgia to Alaska to Louisiana, would all be vulnerable.

This would be one of the largest transfers of wealth from workers to employers in decades and would hurt workers across the country.

My amendment would have placed a cap on these new guest workers at 450,000 to prevent extreme job losses and worker exploitation.

Nothing naive about it. I am fighting for the rights of American workers, for immigrants, and for dignity and respect for all.
