News digest

The current rainy season has demonstrated how unprepared the nation is. While rain is a blessing, its not proper that people
lose their lives because of rain. There have been floods and people have drowned in various parts of the country.

Rain is not a surprise as
The Met Department usually gives us advance notice. It is important that there be planning to ensure that flooding doesn't occur and that
the water is harvested to prevent situations where flooding precedes dry conditions. The government should build dams to store this water.
If you have means, it's advisable to get tanks so that you can store water during this time.
