Almost like these criticisms totally devoid of scale are being lodged in bad faith.
If you're mad online because $300/child is chump change, your bigger beef should be with current law that limits the entire credit to $1000.
Rubio/Lee initially leveraged that $1k into $2k, with a slight bump in refundability to $1100. This $300 is additional--brings it up to 70%.
Now you can argue that this is temporary window dressing for an ill-advised plan. Fair enough. But that's not what I'm hearing.
