Just reread one of the most important and elevating psychology papers: The vast majority of people do not break under traumatic experiences. Resilience is the default, not the rare exception.

There is also no dose–response relationship, no link between severity or frequency of traumas and PTSD, as this great review by Scott Lilienfeld shows. I am a bit flabbergasted that some want to rescue the obsolete idea of fragility at all costs. sciencedirect.com/science/articl…!
