I just appeared on the @daily_politics to discuss Kober’s resignation in Haringey. I was told that describing HDV as 'social cleansing' counts as bullying. Of course bullying must be reported and taken seriously, yet the HDV did threaten the homes of working class residents... >
that’s why the policy was so universally unpopular. Just look at what Southwark Council and Lend Lease did to the Heygate Estate where 1,200 social homes were replaced by just 82. You only need to go to Elephant and Castle to see the dramatic changes taking place there >

I tabled a parliamentary question recently and discovered the Foreign Office has given £2m of public money to a shady organisation that's indulging in black propaganda against Jeremy Corbyn and the Labour Party.

Voter enthusiasm/engagement is very high in the new Pew poll, with 61% of voters saying they're more enthusiastic than usual to vote in the midterms. This question is usually a pretty good predictor of overall national turnout. pewrsr.ch/2ONPD0q
Note, however, that GOP historically quite high by midterm standards -- it's just that Democratic enthusiasm is totally off the charts.
A pretty good #take is that with base turnout already expected to be quite high, the parties should spend the final 6 weeks of the campaign appealing to swing voters instead.

Increasing minimum wage results in low-skilled young workers either being laid off or not getting hired, and Rent Relief results in rents getting raised because landlords know about it too. Democrats always find ways to exacerbate problems while pretending to solve them.

However, Democrats advocate for it incessantly, because they count on the fact that those who get a raise will thank Democrats, whereas those who lose their jobs will blame the employers.

i still don’t understand why #bullying is called bullying. i don’t understand why it isn’t called what it is - mental, verbal, emotional, physical abuse.
we educate people when they are young because that is when they are most like a sponge, able to absorb information.
we talk about how vital these early relationships are with family, teachers, community. because we are so open and vulnerable emotionally. raw. learning and developing an understanding of other people, ourselves and the connection between.
