If it's true that continual pornography 'use' alters a man's self-impression with regards to sex, then it follows that women's access to easy, free attention (on a global scale) via social media would alter her own self-impression.
The human brain interprets virtual realities in relatively similar ways to actual realities. For instance, watching a movie can elevated heart rate and arouse sympathetic nervous responses. Continual exposure to that stimuli can theoretically alter our psyches.
The same logic is used to convince us that continuous porn for men will alter our mental processes. Yet no similar effort is out there to convince us that women's continual access to attention generating ego gratification would alter their own mental processes.
