1/ I've been thinking a lot about what might happen to young Black boys and girls in schools where teachers carry firearms. Hear me out.
2/ The data is clear. Black students are just treated DIFFERENTLY than white students. They are suspended at some 3 or 4 times the rates of other kids.

4/ What happens when a teacher decides to use a gun not just to protect his or her students, but to manage a classroom, or discipline a child by, say, brandishing a weapon, or more?
5/ I come from a family of educators (my mother was MY middle school principal). And I know the vast majority of teachers try to do their jobs well every day. But have we asked ourselves, as a country, what a BAD teacher can do, to their STUDENTS, with a gun?
