So conversation in the house today took a turn that many of you will recognize as typical.

Yes, we started talking about Xena. But hear this out: the XENA/BLACK PANTHER connection.

One of the things about Xena that never really gets explained is her chakram, her "flying killing thing". Where it comes from, why it can do what it can do.

We know Ares stole it, not really sure (Ares lies a lot right), but it's a pretty amazing thing.

Not many people can use it, it exhibits some peculiar properties, and it's only broken AFTER it's severed Xena's spine. Which seems kind of crazy.

But obviously we now know what this thing is. OBVIOUSLY.

The chakram is made out of VIBRANIUM.

Thousands of years ago, Wakandan technology was nothing like it is today, but it was still far in advance of what the Greeks (or sometimes the Romans) had.

(XENA is not always super-careful with history)

So clearly sometime several thousand years ago, a Wakandan took off with this amazing weapon. A rogue Dora Milaje, maybe, or perhaps a woman who just wanted to see the world.

What we know is that sometime after Xena left Chin (which should have been around 200 BCE, which makes Julius Caesar awkward, but never mind), she and this unknown Wakandan woman must have met.

That was probably a memorable encounter.

And somehow Xena ended up with the chakram.

Did she and the Wakandan woman end up at odds? Or were they waylaid, perhaps by rivals seeking the vibranium weapon? Xena and a Dora Milaje fighting side by side, that's a good image.

They triumph, but the Wakandan woman is mortally wounded. I'm picturing a deathbed promise where Xena (who's awfully not a good person at this point) agrees to deliver the chakram back to Wakanda, but of course just takes it for herself.

So now I want a movie about a bunch of Wakandans in 30BC who get word of the chakram (due to Xena's fame) and head out on a recovery mission.

Xena has come to rescue her old friend Cleopatra, and so the Wakandans at first try to interfere, but obviously everyone realizes there's much bigger enemy here and fight together to get the Queen out of the city.

See, Cleopatra didn't commit suicide. She went to Wakanda.

Where Xena has to prove she can be trusted with a vibranium weapon.

Obviously she does, because Xena is good at things.
