Spotted this sweet thing on an elevator tonight. It marks the awesomely named Warnock-Hersey certification for safety & performance in construction.

I like this whole sign. I like the aging. I even like the two kinds of numeric signs below it. But the MVP is that TU, of course.

Even cooler if you can de-focus the D and see it as just an abstract shape.

When you're on the lookout for blue collar logos, you spot great little signs like this one on the back of a Kubota tractor

or you catch a classy panel like this industrial-grade stand mixer's

Then you see one of these and you go "daaaamn, NICE," then a minute later a puzzled cook asks you why on earth you're taking close-up pictures of their equipment, is something wrong

A quality logo for quality foods

This is more “great” than it is “good”; and it’s one of those designs that looks better rendered in solid material, in the real world, than it does on the screen.

Chuckling as I imagine a NYC agency rebranding this by typing HINO in a sans-serif font they recently purchased……

This logo has changed a lot over time, and the current version of course sucks, but you can still find shops sporting this old beauty
