1) Oh, good, one of these fuckheads responded! Here, let me help everyone out disassembling the propaganda here.
2) First up, the article notes that a chemical weapons depot was 'discovered' in an area of Ghouta that was liberated from the rebels. Sharmine Narwani was the author for that article. It was published in RT. rt.com/op-ed/421515-g…
3) Sharmine Narwani is notable for being an Assad apologist. al-bab.com/blog/2013/03/s… Note, this is from way back in 2013. She's been at this for YEARS.
4) Its actually quite a good post, there on al-bab, lots of linking to the various articles they talk about to support their argument. Kudos.
5) This is just doing quick google searches, BTW. Not hard at all shooting holes in this propaganda bullshit.
6) Back to the RT article, and the propagandist herself. "This charge remains unproven and highly contentious, with other parties arguing that anti-government militants are employing CW munitions to provoke a US military intervention against Syria."
7) The Russia-Syria-Iran axis are the only ones being contentious with this claim, and they are the other parties arguing that the rebels are the ones using chemical weapons to provoke a US intervention.
8) "In mid-2012, the Syrian government confirmed for the first time that it had chemical weapons, but stated these were only for use against “external aggression” and never against the Syrian people." Way to bury the lead there Sharwani.
9) "The amount of CWs used on the Syrian battlefield is negligible in comparison with the scope and violence of the war." Hmmm.
10) "Why use a highly provocative weapon that kills only a few dozen people when you can use conventional munitions that can do a cleaner job?" Great question. Then why does Assad have them in the first place, something which has admitted and proven. Repeatedly.
11) Chemical weapons are used because they cause terror and submission. That is the entire POINT of chemical weapons. They are banned because they are used on civilian populaces with no defense against them to terrorize them.
12) Schwarmahead then links to an article claiming a 2013 chemical attack was done by rebels with weapons provided by the Saudis mintpressnews.com/witnesses-of-g…
13) The reporter on the ground for that article: Yahya Ababneh. Look at this, al-bab has a writeup on him too! What a coincidence. Almost like there's an entire network of pro-Assad/pro-Russian journalists spreading a counter-narrative. al-bab.com/blog/2013/09/y…
14) 'According to Ababneh's profile on LinkedIn, the professional networking website, he has carried out journalistic assignments "in Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Russia, and Libya for clients such as al-Jazeera, al-Quds al-Arabi, Amman Net, and other publications".'
15) 'So far, though, no evidence has emerged to support this claim and internet searches in English and Arabic for articles that carry his byline have drawn a blank.'
16) 'On the deleted page he had received endorsements for his skills from two people–Ghazal Omid of the Iran Future organisation and Sufian Ababneh, a legal adviser at the Jordanian embassy in London. Among other things, Sufian Ababneh had endorsed him for his skills as an actor'
17) Here's where it gets INTERESTING. So, back in 2013 when people were rushing articles out about the 2013 attack, a Yan Barakat starts commenting on some of the articles.
18) So who is Yan Barakat? Clicking on his name in the Mail on Sunday comments thread leads to his Facebook page where there is a photo of him. Here was his profile picture.
19) 'Like Yahya Ababneh, Yan Barakat appears to be a Jordanian freelance journalist. There was an article published under his name in the Jerusalem Post. '
20) 'Here we find another blogger getting excited about Ababneh's weapons story.

The interesting part of this is that it includes a link to Ababneh's now-deleted profile on LinkedIn – together with a photograph which bears a striking resemblance to that of Yan Barakat. '
21) WELL, would you look at that. A fake journalist with multiple psuedonyms all promoting the article claiming Syrian rebels were responsible for chemical attacks that Schwarmahead in her RT article then promotes as evidence for HER claims of the same.
22) 'Dale Gavlak assisted in the research and writing process of this article, but was not on the ground in Syria.' mintpressnews.com/witnesses-of-g…
23) Dude had a fake source using a psuedonym to push a lie, a lie that is propagated by Russians and Syrians.
24) Yeah, call me skeptical as fuck of the claims of Russia and their reporter flunkies. /end
