That's not great news.
This, though, would surprise me. I think Kim wants that photo with the President of the United States, paying tribute to him, for the front page of the Rodong Sinmun.
I mean, North Korea signed the 1994 Agreed Framework -- but what they really wanted was the letter from Clinton. From Wit et al, Going Critical and Pollack, No Exit. I can't imagine Kim gives up his summit. 
Update: KCNA did say that the summit might be in danger. (Not quite what Chung said Kim said, now, is it?)
My best guess is that the DPRK is bent out of shape that Trump officials are bragging about bullying the DPRK to agree to denuclearization since their line is that it was the Hwasong-15 test that bullied Trump into agreeing to the summit.
