I'll say (Paul didn't say this) mid-May and no new coaching contracts is very weird, and I know they and their families all want it done. Not sure why it's not done.
• Corey Manigault signed Wednesday morning. The JC transfer from Indian Hills JC committed a couple weeks ago. ... UNM is currently at NCAA roster limit of 13 scholarship players.
• Season tickets went on sale yesterday. Weir had been asking for them to be on sale since the team finished regular season on impressive win streak and made it to MWC tourney title game. ... UNM put them on sale just yesterday.
• The plan for now, though schedule is not finalized, is for 17 regular season home games.
• Weir still hopes to get more regional teams to agree to home and home series in the Pit.

• Weir talked, at length, about his personal desire that the program returns to the Top 25 nationally in average home attendance that it had for first 50 years of the Pit's existence, but lost that distinction the season before he was hired.
• Asked how much he pays attention to what other teams in the Mountain West do in the offseason. He said not much at all, but he can't help but be in awe of the talent @EricPMusselman and Nevada has compiled this offseason. ...
• Weir said for right now, there's no question it's Nevada and everyone else chasing them in the Mountain West. That's not to say he doesn't think UNM can get back in that discussion this season to try and compete, but right now, the pecking order is clear.
