This is brought to you by a health professional who asked yesterday, when taking blood for my appointment with a Myalgic Encephalomyelitis specialist, whether it was a novelty, as they'd only ever seen the baby-on-board badges
In the year that I've been wearing it I've been offered a seat twice, and I've been blocked from taking a seat on five occasions to allow seemingly able people who looked 50-70 and didn't ask for it
I have also been complemented as if it's a fashion statement, and generally given funny looks because I outwardly appear to be an able-bodied man in my 30s who's claiming to need help
I've avoided tweeting about this for a while (self-conciousness) but have to ask:

How much is it right for people with disabilities to have to fight for accessibility others take for granted?

How much would it harm people to trust that if someone says they need help, they do?
unroll please?
