1/6 CIJA has been in direct contact with Canadian officials & media about the rocket misfired by Palestinian Islamic Jihad that fell onto a hospital in #Gaza.
We have made it clear that the responsibility for striking the hospital lies with the terror groups that use their own civilians as human shields & put innocent Palestinians in harms way.
We mourn this senseless loss of Palestinian life.
The immediate reaction by Canadian officials & media to promote the #Hamas narrative, blaming #Israel without any evidence, contributed to rallies across the country, including at our own #Antisemitism conference last night, where demonstrators attacked Jewish - not Israeli - symbols.
Spreading unverified information has real life consequences. It puts lives in danger. 2/6 More video footage & analysis showing the misfired rocket that struck the hospital in #Gaza.

2/4 Protester. Criez. Désapprouvez. Mais laissez ce symbole du meurtre de 6 millions de #Juifs et d'innombrables autres dans la poubelle de l'histoire, là où il doit être. #polcan
1/4 CIJA and @CanadianFSWC are working together to fight #antisemitism, and through CIJA have engaged @PrivyCouncilCA after @Israellycoolweek reported that a senior analyst at PCO appears to have published extreme and egregious #antisemitic posts on social media. #cdnpoli2/4 A Facebook page purporting to belong to a member of the public service employed @PrivyCouncilCA includes dozens of hateful messages, including accusations of Jews collaborating with Hitler and being “Khazar converts” with a “false history.”
