A major bridge in occupied #Kherson has been hit by #Ukraine's armed forces.
The #Antonivskyy (RU: Antonovskiy) spans the Dnipro river and is the shortest route for the occupiers to reach the city from #Crimea.

As well as hitting the big bridge in #Kherson, it's thought #Ukraine struck again near the #Chornobaivka airfield. Smoke was seen rising in the area.
#Russia says all but one missiles were shot down, so it's possible this was debris as rockets went overhead.
At least one civilian has been killed as rockets rained down on central #Kramatorsk this lunchtime.
Nearby #Sloviansk is also reported to have been hit

Another 45 bodies of fallen soldiers have been returned to #Ukraine in an exchange.
It's likely around 500 have now been repatriated from behind enemy lines.
Over 10,000 Ukrainians are being detained in #Mariupol
That's what #Ukraine's mayor Vadym Boychenko told a news briefing. "There are filtration centres in the city and just outside. All four were working all this time. And, unfortunately, they captured more than 10,000 locals."
No date on this, but #Ukraine's released a video of its National Guard "Special Unit" along with paratroopers, destroying a group of Russian soldiers near #Sloviansk .

It's now known that two people died after the shelling of residential apartments in #Sloviansk earlier.
The Russian attack destroyed a building and two bodies were discovered under the rubble.

#China has at times seemed to try to stay "neutral" i.e. not offend #Russia or #Ukraine, but finally what many suspected as the country's FM comes down firmly on the side of the aggressor, Putin.
As always one has to wonder at what China wants with such statements...

It follows clashes near #NovayaKakhovka this evening. An anti aircraft missile hit the jet.

More weapons, including HIMARS, coming to #Ukraine from the U.S. soon said Pentagon spokesman John Kirby.
He also confirmed they believe #Russia is "laying the groundwork for the annexation of Ukrainian territory, to install illegitimate proxy officials in occupied areas."

The regional admin says the only sign was a small fire in a warehouse which was quickly extinguished.
