Sunday 28 August, it's Day 186 of #Russia's full scale invasion.

The day begins with the usual sounds of shelling and terror by the Terrorist State upon #Ukraine. Updates to follow..

#Zaporizhzhia once again a focal point for #Russia's invaders.

There are indeed reports of firing in both directions, across the frontline which separates free and occupied ZP.

Reliable reports of explosions in occupied areas, while #Ukraine says its' air defence is working:

In #Kharkiv there are conflicting reports.
Some channels say air defences working well here too.
However others posting on social media about "arrivals" in the area, and the audio on this video clip is convincing

#Dnipropetrovsk oblast also suffering explosions a little earlier.

The south of the region was being hit by Russian missiles, around #KrivyiRih and in #Marhanets where this video is from although it doesn't reveal too much.

No videos/photos yet from some of the occupied areas, but reliable reports that #Ukraine has taken out a Russian base in #Melitopol and over the regional border in #Kherson oblast, early intel suggests another attack by the Hydroelectric plant in #Kakhovka.

In Occupied #Donetsk plenty of these types of videos on social media.

A busy night for air defence. Not clear yet if any missiles reached their intended targets.

As I reported earlier, the exiled mayor of #Melitopol now confirms one of #Russia's largest military bases was destroyed. The "Avtocolorlit" plant is no more says Ivan Fedorov.

He also claims in #Myrny a building being used to prepare a pseudo-referendum was also destroyed.

Two people have been injured by broken glass during overnight shelling of #Zaporizhzhia. Three summer houses were hit in Shevchenkivskyi district in the city.

The village of #Orikhiv, about 50km southeast of ZP was also shelled - no casualties there.

Also in #Zaporizhzia region, police say "people died" in the village of #Kamianka as a result of "armed aggression of the occupiers"

This is in Polohiv district and can be hard to find on maps - the village has had 3 names in 6 years, previously Kuibysheve + Bilmak.

Occasionally I step back and try to see things from a wider perspective, to ensure I am not taken over by hyperbole and exaggerating #Russia's crimes and the brainwashing of the people.

Then I see things like this and realise I may be too lenient:

Exiled Governor Serhiy Hadai says they hit #Svatove around 50km from the #Russia border.
The Occupiers published photos of damage without mentioning a military presence.

#Ukraine's Southern Command has also confirmed today's hits on #Russia in #Kherson oblast.

Spokesman Serhiy Bratchuk says they hit soldiers and equipment in #NovaKakhovka, #Lyubimovka and Kherson itself. Among equipment he claims destroyed are 11 rocket launchers.

Earlier in this thread I showed people almost fighting in #Donetsk to get to bottles of water.

Even when water does flow in homes in some areas of the occupied city, not sure I'd want to even wash in it, let alone drink it!

This was seen near Alupka in the occupied peninsula.

A couple of videos to bring you from a huge fire raging in the #Volgograd region.

The initial fire broke out in a market right in the centre of the city of #Volzhsky.

It could not be controlled and winds helped flames spread to nearby apartment blocks.

The city was brought to a standstill.
So far, it's thought everyone managed to escape the blaze without injury.

There are quite a few of these types of stories. Usually it's tip offs about partisans or people speaking Ukrainian and they go largely ignored.

Thankfully Bryce survived, so it's good the story will reach a far greater number of people.

Missiles hit #Rivne this evening.

Regional Head Vitaliy Koval confirmed strikes on the Sarnensky district of the city, which has suffered relatively few attacks in the war so far.

No casualties reported.

Military bases of the Russians have been picked off today with alarming regularity for the Occupiers.
