The difference between a $15 MW and a $12 to 15 MW in an environment where we can't get $10 is not enough. The difference between free college and debt-free college is minimal, particularly when the first would only apply in states that opted in.
The difference between single payer and multi-payer with public option is also minimal, and most of the countries that ignoramus Bernie touted as examples have the latter. Only two countries in the world have single payer.
In many ways, Bernie was less progressive, because he was willing to give away human rights agenda to pander to social conservative whites. So please, they are not running on Bernie's agenda, Bernie ran on Democratic ideas that have always been part of the party.
He embraced Democratic economic progressivism while denigrating the liberal human rights platform as identity politics. He is to the right of many Democrats and he is ignorant even on his main policy foci - such as Wall Street reform and universal health care.
He maleducated a generation about single payer being the ONLY way, telling them that Denmark (who spoke up to say he was wrong) and all the developed world had single payer. No, they don't. They have universal health care and Democrats have worked for that for decades.
He had one idea for Wall Street reform, breaking up the banks, but couldn't even explain how. Democrats, including Hillary, had a lot of reforms, including regulating shadow banking that he maybe didn't know exists since he had nothing. He's a bumper sticker man so he's popular
He's like Trump that way, he can't be bothered with the details, he only chases the big simple idea and claims moral high ground but his ideas are not morally better, they are just simpler. Too simple, in fact, because he can't be bothered to see how they might work.
He's a gadfly, buzzing with slogans and catchphrases, but the nitty gritty of making something work is beneath him which is why he had been a failure as a senator and congressman and would be a failure as president.
And there are receipts on how much better Clinton's Wall Street plan was than Bernie's. Bernie's a liar.
