I see an odd comment doing the rounds that there is no majority in parliament to "crash out" of the European Union.

Unfortunately, that does not require Parliament's permission.

Article 50 doesn't provide you with a final last minute vote at the end of two years to see if you really mean it.
All it provides is that they're going to expel you.

If, as you say, there is no majority in parliament to approve of your expulsion, that is going to cause all sorts of bad temper in parliament - but it still won't stop it happening.

I've said and spoke. You can't get a withdrawal agreement without setting the Irish border - which parliament agreed to put in the Irish Sea.

But you can't put a border in the Irish Sea without the government will collapse. And it will collapse anyway if you don't.

The only answer is if Europe lets you write a treaty of your own that allows you to stay in the European Union while obeying none of the rules.
Europe obviously won't do that either.

And yet again we meet the same logic.

If Theresa May can't put a border in Ireland, and Theresa May can't put a border in the Irish Sea, and Theresa May can't put no border, and Theresa may can't sign a withdrawal agreement . . .

The answer is, sack Theresa May. It doesn't matter how much time they waste voting on their adolescent nonsense.
They're going to sack Theresa May because that's the only valid move they've got left.

And when they sack Theresa May, they'll have a general election to stop Brexit, but there's no guarantee - or even likelihood after all the mess they've made - that they will win it.

I thought we would already have had that general election six months ago, but we didn't. And that's really bad for the Tories because the extra six months has only demonstrated their incompetence and stupidity.

If the Tories are forced into a general election with Brexit still hanging in the air and no plan in sight, there is no chance they'll win it.
And a Corbyn government will mean the break up of the country.

But if the Tories cling on at least until March next year till we get kicked out of Europe . . . What do they win?
They will have wrecked the economy, Labour will win the next election whenever it comes. And that's still the break up of the country.

It's what I've been telling the Tories for the last two years. Yes, you can leave the European Union. But you will destroy the country doing it.
There is no way to leave the European Union without destroying the country.

That's what they never understood.

That's why they never would have let Theresa May play such a dangerous game if they had understood what she was doing.

Trying to use Article 50 to scam a new treaty was always going to get us expelled. And is now destroying the country.

And once I explain it like that, it's hard to comprehend how they got themselves into this.
But unfortunately, MPs are not very bright, they don't understand any of this stuff that seems so obvious to me and you.

One good thing will come of Brexit - for others, though not for us.
We will be a warning of just how easy it is to destroy a country.
