Can we start calling the cops on people who call the cops on black people who are just living their lives?
When you involve police in a situation, you are involving potential use of deadly force. It’s time we start making clear that calling the police is something like calling in a drone strike.
Yes police need better training and de-escalation techniques, but so does BBQ Becky and everyone else falsely reporting threats of their fellow Americans just out to golf or mow lawns or take in some air.
There should be accountability not just for law enforcement but for people who waste law enforcement resources on some bullshit because THEY DON’T KNOW HOW TO HAVE A CONVERSATION.
