Looking for site/app/service that calculates area within X-minute public transit commute (for NYC). I've asked before. Wondering if there's new stuff out there.
I've not been clear. I am trying to make a radius map. I want to create a border (virtual!) around a point based on distance reachable within X mins. I can imagine it would work by sampling a set of points in all directions and iteratively approaching my target time
simplest would just be to drop a circle around the point and assume a constant rate of travel regardless of direction. this is somewhat helpful but far more would take terrain and roads into account. Dream would be to adjust this dynamic radius based on walk vs drive vs transit
