In the annals of history certain events have transformed the fortunes of a state or Nation. This Salem - Chennai green express way is one such milestone , it is bound to usher in an era of development , growth & prosperity not only to the people of TN but India as such.

When a patient goes to a doctor with a disease, any doctor worth his salt will first differentiate between disease & symptom & treat the disease. Symptomatic treatment dosent help ,it's only temporary as long as the disease is there , the symptoms are bound to resurface.

What's the disease & what are the symptoms in Tamil Nadu ? On keen observation Tamil Nadu has two chronic diseases
1. Unemployment &
2. Dravidian parties

Rest are symptoms.

Chennai is on the verge of a Cardiac arrest economically & this 8 way salem - chennai expressway is a bypass surgery to save TN economically. In this thread let's analyse the merits of this highway.

Fact 1 : Chennai is the suicide capital of India for many years now. Youth of TN are taking desperate steps as they are not getting jobs.
Aopround 400000 youth are graduating out of TN colleges each year. 570 odd engineering colleges , 1200+ arts colleges , polytechnics etc.,

Fact 2 : Land prices in chennai are sky rocketing, most lands in chennai under the control of Dravidian party mafia. Industry is being driven out , Industries are quitting TN. They are relocating to other states.

Fact 3 : Tamil Nadu has become a den of corruption, incompetence , nepotism & no governance, its no longer conducive for even existing industries , what to speak of new industries coming into Tamil Nadu ? Courtesy Dravidian parties

Fact 4. Industrial land in salem, harur, thiruvannamalai is only a fraction of the land prices in Chennai. Will you start an industry investing RS 300 crores for land in Chennai or will you start the same industry investing RS 25 crores in Salem for the same extent of land ?

North Chennai till Gummidipoondi is expensive
South upto Pondicherry prices are crazy
East - sea can't expand
South West sriperumbadur corridor forget it. Prices are sky high.
South - takes 2 hours to reach Chengulpet, bumper to bumper traffic. Prices don't talk abt it

Fact 5. Only corridor that is underdeveloped, poor & without proper access & infrastructure is Chennai - arani - thiruvannamalai- harur - salem belt.
These are some of the poorest districts in TN.

Fact 6
This Salem-Chennai expressway will be for a distance of 277.30 Kms. The length of the highway in each district will be as follows

Salem : 36.3 Kms
Dharmapuri : 52 Kms
Krishnagiri : 2 Kms
Thiruvannamalai Dt : 123.1 kms
Kancheepuram Dt : 59 kms.

Neglected area.

Fact 7
This 8 way expressway tresspasses through Type III , forest that too for a very short distance. Type III means, dry, thorny forest , virtually no big trees, this forest dosent have any ecological diversity, it is neither a wildlife sanctuary nor it is a National Park.

Fact 8.
In Tamil Nadu we have roads passing through Type 1 & Type 2 forests , why are these protesters not protesting those roads , why protest only road passing through Type 3 forest ?

So the protest is not about the forest being destroyed

Fact 8 : Most of the road passed through dry regions , where there is negligible or no farming activity taking place. Land will be acquired from 7800 land owners only ,out of which how many of them are involved in farming for livelihood ?

How many have watersource for farming ?

Fact 9. It takes 6 + hours to come from Chennai to Salem by car in the existing two highways. It virtually takes 2 hours to get out of chennai bumper to bumper traffic.This highway reduces distance by 64 kms , reduces time by 2 hours,consumes less fuel,less smoke, less pollution

Fact 10
This entire road is built out of high quality concrete, reduces accidents, provides world class infrastructure, it's futuristic & on par with some of the best. This highway will open an estimated 5000 industries in salem, harur, thiruvannamalai corridor. It means Jobs

Fact 11. This highway will bring prosperity to the farmers, they can transport their produce to Chennai in few hours. This means higher prices for their produce & better quality of life. Thousands of farmers will be lifted out of poverty. Can these fake environmentalists do it ?

Fact 12
Before the salem bangalore highway came farmers in this belt were handicapped, after the 4 way track, farmers have started cultivating flowers and transporting to bangalore in 2 hours flat. Over 20000 farmers are depending on this highway (flower trade) in salem alone

Over 10000 farmers are cultivating flowers in kaveripattinam & are daily transporting flowers to bangalore.Courtesy 4 way track put by BJP Govt.Even earlier these rascal so called environmentalists were protesting to the 4 way track. Now 1000s of farmers are millionaires

Fact 13
Every highway is an artery for economic development. This highway will have three layers of trees, each at intervals of 10 meters. That's why it's called a green highway. This will be a lifeline for thousands of villages, will usher in an era of development & prosperity
