@J_amesp 1. Problem is most people think "no deal" is no biggie; "a few tariffs and a bit more paperwork at the border, blah, blah, China and USA trade with the EU on WTO terms blah, blah..."

China and USA have regulatory agencies recognised by the EU.

@J_amesp 2. The "big" agencies are:
EASA - approvals for; airport operators, aitrlines, pilot licences, maintenance engineers, airplanes and aerospace components. After B-day NO international flights & no aerospace exports ANYWHERE.
ECA (implementing REACH) - no chemical industry.

Euratom - NO international transport of radioactive materials.
50-odd smaller agencies relating to dozens of industries and millions of jobs.

@J_amesp 4. Only AFTER we have recreated UK versions of these EU agencies and got them recognized can exporters start looking at what next they need to do: trawl through TARIQ and the individual countries import lists (Einfuhrliste) to see which products need special licences.

@J_amesp 5. Finally, 6 months or a year later a UK company will be "just the same as a USA or Chinese company" ...only no business I am aware of can shut down all sales for that length of time and survive.

@J_amesp 6. People need to realise "no-deal" is like nothing any country has ever experienced. Ten times worse than sanctions on Russia, or South Africa, or Cuba. More like a medieval city under siege....and the whole country not just one town...and self-imposed. That's the worst.
