*45 wants to monetize his supporter database, charging $35 for 1K emails.

Batman Returns is brilliant subversion and satire of the Christmas genre. Christmas movies are primarily about family, of which BR has zilch. So I see why it's rarely mentioned. But the key is that it's *about* family. Specifically, people with none. People Christmas forgot.
Batman Returns is "Christmas for Outcasts." It follows people Christmas movies never show: neglected, isolated, anti-social individuals. This is not the Scrooge archetype. These aren't people who don't value family and must learn to. These are people without the luxury of family.
Bruce's parents are murdered while Oswald's abandon him. Selina's relationship with her mom seems non-existent based on her voicemail. Then her boyfriend cancels their Christmas trip to go on his own. Selina's life is all-consumed by her domineering male boss.

May I present: The Batman vs. Dracula

The premise is that Penguin, looking to stash some cash, discovers a crypt in Gotham.

That crypt has Dracula in it, and he gets woken up.

(There's no explanation of why Dracula is in Gotham, he just is, deal with it.)
Drac hypnotises Penguin, and starts his plan to turn everyone into vampires.

But first, he's got to "I shall stake my claim among Gotham's elite."

First, love the pun; second, there's absolutely no reason for Drac to be part of the 1%, it just makes him vulnerable

There’s a major, fundamental ignorance about all this talk of #TrumpTreason:

Elected officials are meant to represent the body of the people, to whom they’re meant to be accountable.

The intel community is *not* accountable to us. They’re accountable to the Executive (Trump)

There is no reason whatsoever that elected officials should be loyal to the intel community. That’s backward. And *anybody* saying they don’t support the intel community is not “treasonous.”

Nor is saying you believe another world leader is correct over our own IC.

The IC does not represent the people. The IC does not work for the people. The IC does not answer to the people. The IC is not accountable to the people.

It’s actually easier to make a coherent, logical argument that elected officials being loyal to the IC is treasonous.
